My mother

Lillian Signa Davies (Olsen)

A seamstress and dressmaker all her life, most enjoyed boating. She was a member of Blue Gavel and served as an officer for, and on the board of directors for, the Totem Yacht Club. Mom enjoyed playing piano and was raised in a musical family. She photographed the world around her leaving a legacy I hope to place online for you to see in the near future.

Harold James Davies

A decorated veteran of WWII, race car driver, and past holder of the title Golden Gloves Champion of Alaska (welter weight division.) Dad has written a bit about his life, and are welcome to read the pieces. Alaska to Germany at the History Channel and, WWII 3rd army 385 infantry 76 division at Military Connections where he tells of going in at Le Harve, and fighting through the Battle Of The Buldge and on into Germany, untill being shot by a rocket... "still here!" Dad says. Dad is proud to be a past Commodore for Totem Yacht club, and now a member of The Blue Gavel. He was employed by the Olympia Brewery. Dad also enjoyed SCUBA diving when he was younger, and taught my brothers and I when we were all still in grade school. Dad is photographed here as a young boy shading his eyes with both hands on the family apple farm in eastern Washington. My grandfather is to the right of center wearing a white shirt and tie.

Grandfather Olsen was an farmer how moved here from Norway. Academecly interested in history. He built his home from his own timber, and repaired the familys watches. His home was furnished with his own craftsmanship. He loved 'flying' on skis. Grandmother also was of Norwegion parents, I am a second cousin to the great skier Bjorn Daily.
Grandmother Jessie Davies was from the Gaul clan of Scotland. 		Dad's father, William Frank Davies (a welsh emigrant and vetran of the first world war,) was a shoemaker with his shop in Olympia. A musician (banjo) avid fisherman, gardner, and bridge player.
